PROCESS ENGINEER III
St. Petersburg
SUMMARY:
Responsible for advanced process development and/or project leadership that may include coordination of a team in support of the “in Chamber” process technology. Emphasis is placed on achieving customer goals, process parameters within equipment capability and effective interaction with sales department, by performing the following duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in an appropriate discipline such as Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Plasma physics courses or semiconductor processing courses a plus
- M.S., in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science or related discipline.
- PhD. Prefer
- Three to five years related experience in the semiconductor industry in general and plasma processing in particular
- Fluent Chinese language skills needed

QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER
St. Petersburg
SUMMARY:
Responsible for quality inspection of all incoming materials assigned for review to the Quality Assurance Department. Requires a substantial level of authority, responsibility, independent judgment, impartiality, people skills, and technical know-how in support of verifying business operations and / or that Plasma-Therm’s products comply with specified requirements. The Quality Control Engineer may be required to act on behalf of the customer when requested to do so.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, drafting (CAD design), or a related discipline.
- Experience in practical application of machine shop techniques.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER
St. Petersburg
SUMMARY:
Software Engineers in the Controls Engineering group at Plasma-Therm are responsible for creating and maintaining the Windows-based tool control software for single and multi-chamber plasma etching systems used by the semiconductor industry. Software Engineers must work with customers, as well as the Plasma-Therm Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to understand and rapidly address customer needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS (MS preferred) in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related degree.
- 3+ years of experience as a professional software engineer in a Windows environment.
- Experience with C#, Smalltalk, Java, or other object oriented programming language.
- Experience with MVC architecture, multi-threaded systems, distributed computing environments, and object oriented system design.

PROCESS ENGINEER - DEEP SILICON ETCH / MEMS

SUMMARY:
Responsible for Deep Silicon Etch advanced process and equipment development and/or project leadership that may include coordination of a team in support of the development. Emphasis is placed on designing and achieving project goals within the equipment capability, and effective interactions with Sales and Marketing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, or related discipline is required; Ph.D. highly desirable.
- Five to seven years direct related experience in processing technology with specific deep silicon etch and MEMS preferred.

CUSTOMER PROGRAM MANAGER

SUMMARY:
Customer interface for Plasma-Therm from purchase order through final acceptance and beyond. Provides timely and effective project management of the assigned projects. Plasma-Therm representative to interface with the customer to resolve problems, complainants and issues using appropriate internal and external resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering or related field. MBA required.
- One to three years of work experience in the job offered or related field of semiconductor or capital equipment manufacturing (e.g., Plasma Etch, PECVD, or a related area.).

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER INTERN

POSITION DISCRIPTION:
Under direction of project lead, intern is responsible for developing plugins for EndpointWorks.
- Meeting with customers (Plasma-Therm process engineers) to determine requirements
- Implementing code to meet the requirements
- Documenting code and basic user instructions
- Code reviews with project lead
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a similar major
- Will accept Juniors/Seniors working towards a degree
- Must have significant programming coursework (would like to see a transcript)
- Prefer some LabVIEW programming language experience (coursework only ok)

MECHANICAL ENGINEER INTERN
St. Petersburg
POSITION DISCRIPTION:
- Perform design validation testing for two styles of electrostatic wafer chuck for temperature uniformity, clamping pressure, and clamp and release time.
- Design experiments and specialized test fixtures.
- Generate detailed test reports for each chuck and present results to engineering staff.
- If tests are successful, candidate will also document manufacture-able assemblies in CAD and release to production through engineering change control system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with 3D CAD systems such as Inventor or Solidworks
- Junior or Senior in BSME program
